Kynís, the Icelandic Sexology Association recently held a Nordic conference in Iceland with over 120 attendees. Early on in the process we decided to enlist the help of a professional conference planner. That decision not only saved us money but it also relieved us of a lot of stress and gave us the opportunity to focus on the finer details that come with hosting a large conference.  Kynís wholeheartedly recommends planning your conference with Iceland Travel. They are extremely professional and their customer care is fantastic. They answered every question we had, kept us in the loop with regular meetings and were very organized, but still open to suggestions and change to accommodate our budget. Iceland is far away, but we felt at home, thanks to the organization provided by Iceland Travel. I proposed for the second time Reykjavik and the Golden Circle for an incentive trip, and again I was amazed how such a rough territory fascinates travellers. It’s important to have at your side professionals able to run smoothly every part of the program, coping with night flights and transfers, managing time schedules of the various siteseeings around Reykjavik, offering unusual locations for your gala dinner. Generally speaking, I noticed in the last three years an improvement in touristic services, as well in quality of food and beverage, that is really first class… if you are well advised!

Innovation Center Iceland has held five international conferences on electrodes for primary aluminum smelters. Iceland Travel (IT) has been in charge of the general planning and registration of participants through all these years. The fifth conference was held in May 2011 and we are working on the one to be held now in May. The approach of IT has always been exemplary. If problems have been encountered, they have been resolved with speed and all communications have always been extremely good. I have always been able to consolidate IT staff to perform their tasks and they do always keep their promises. This has meant that the organizing committee can keep the focus on professional theme and content of the conference and Iceland Travel has taken care of the countless practical details that are part of such conferences.

We wrapped up the PC Conference recently and I am very happy to report that it was a resounding success! The meals, activities, and entertainment were all top notch. Once we arrived at the falls it was a light drizzle, however on the glacier we had heavy snow. It ended up adding to the experience of having a magnificent buffet carved into the side of the glacier with the snow falling. Everyone was still talking about it when they headed home!

Iceland Travel were the official travel pA big thank you to Helena and her team at Iceland Travel for taking on and delivering this unusual event which resulted in more than 300 overseas visitors to Iceland departing the country with a unique experience, many happy thoughts and the hope to return to one incredible country. And a special mention to Vilborg, who was introduced to us by Iceland Travel and proved to be an invalueable pre-race and on-the-ground local member of the race management team.
